We’ve got some exciting news to share - our salon on Prospect Road has been recognised as one of the top 50 most sustainable hair salons worldwide! This amazing recognition not only puts us on the global stage but also strengthens our commitment to eco-friendly beauty.
Here at Curjo, we believe in looking fabulous without harming the planet. From the start, our mission has been to blend innovative hair artistry with sustainable practices. Our carefully chosen products, energy-efficient tools, and waste reduction efforts reflect our dedication to sustainability in every detail.
Salons generate a lot of waste, so we implemented a number of initiatives to address this. We use brands that support our vision, having glass and aluminium vessel’s so they can be recycled infinite times, instead of plastic and we have a super handy refill station where customers can refill and reuse their empty bottles. We use recycled aluminium foil and installed water-saving shower heads to minimise our environmental footprint while maintaining top-quality service.
Thanks to our partnership with Sustainable Salons, we ensure that our materials are recycled, reused and repurposed and support initiatives like OzHarvest.
Taking on industry norms has been both challenging and rewarding.
